Cannabis
(a.k.a. marijuana, weed, skunk, pot, solids, resin)

If you’ve been smoking cannabis you’ll probably be able to remember how good it felt the first times you used it. But you'll probably remember little else since... just kidding.

Often, people find their perception altered in a soothing way, with heightened awareness of the senses, usually increasing pleasure to things like food and music.

As people use cannabis for longer the tolerance increases and it takes more to get stoned, but often times the effects are not the same as they used to be.

Despite this, it appears that when people think about how they associate towards the drug, it can be with a state of reverence unconsciously thinking about all pleasurable things that it used to create.

The reality of the situation is often different though and all too often people find that Cannabis has started to have an impact on:

  • Motivation
  • Paranoia
  • Confidence
  • Energy Levels
  • Self Esteem
  • Memory
  • Your ability to get stuff done
  • Mental Health

There may be part of you that really wants to stop, but you find there is an equal or stronger pull to go and get some Cannabis, even if the affects are no longer desirable

People who smoke Cannabis with Tobacco may simply be addicted to the nicotine, but have built up an association to smoking joints. It is recommended to stop using both and see what difference this can make to how easy you can begin to find it, but it is not essential.

If you’re reading this then you've probably begun to recognise what Cannabis is really doing, and there is something that lets you know that it’s time to make a change. If you’ve tried to stop on your own and found little success perhaps it’s time to find new ways and strategies for stopping easily with a Hypnotherapist.

I am an Addictions Specialist Hypnotherapist and I can help you change the way that you associate towards Cannabis so that it no longer becomes desirable to want it. You will be able to see clearly what it’s doing, but more importantly experience how you life will be better without it. This is what will really make the difference.
