Reduce Worry

You may find that you have been excessively worrying about everyday areas of life such as family, work, relationships, health and finances that tends to lead you to a constant state of being nervous, anxious or on edge. Some people find that they are not aware of worrying as such, but just feel a constant sense of unease and tension. Others are very aware that they are over-analyising situations, with a lack of control in being able to stop it.

Usually people feel that the worry serves the purpose of helping to prepare for the worst case scenario. This often causes feelings of anxiety about relaxing and thus it perpetuates itself to the point that you start to feel worried about not feeling worried!

It can breakdown confidence, stop you from achieving goals and hugely affect daily functioning. Depression, tiredness and irritability often follow general anxiety due to a prolonged state of high alert, and you may have found yourself increasingly avoiding situations.

In addition there are a number of physical symptoms such as:

  • Trouble falling or staying asleep
  • Muscle tension
  • Headaches
  • Sweating
  • Shakes
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Sickness & Nausea
  • Frequently going to the toilet, or having the sense of wanting to go

It is common that people see their G.P. suffering the physical symptoms but find little explanation, or perhaps a diagnosis of I.B.S.

If anxiety has hijacked you then you may not feel like your old self anymore and if any of this sounds familiar, then perhaps it’s time to do something about it.

Hypnotherapy can help you to relax deeply. This helps to deactivate the fight and flight response triggered by anxiety and has a marvellous affect on the digestive system.
