Benzodiazepines

Initially the benzodiazepine family will calm nerves, help to relax, sleep and reduce anxiety. Yet, if taken for long enough they can cause irritability, anxiety and insomnia which are the very things that they are often taken to combat.

Coupled with this is the a need for the substance to cope with stressful situations, or perhaps just everyday life.

You might have been prescribed benzo's for a medical reason, or to deal with strong emotions. Maybe you found that they quiet the chatter of the mind, or help to sleep.

Alternatively you may purchase Benzo's as street drugs. Whatever the reason is that brought you here, if you're reading this them I'm guessing your considering stopping.
